-Chiisana, like I said earlier there are many versions of the legend, and the original version is of Chinese origin using the name of Orihime. But I choose to use the Japanese version of the story which is my favorite. I use for my references, materials like “Transactions of the Asiatic Society of Japan” and other books on fairy tales and myths, many of the books date for the 1890’s, I prefer the non-modernized versions of the myths and legends.

Great description and I love Tanabata too! Actually this season of matsuri festivals and hanabi mixed up with some great weather is fab.

Happy Tanabata! Oh wait, it was yesterday -_-” Not that we could see any stars at all from out light polluted surroundings, and I forgot to hang my wish on the bamboo, but celebrations are always fun, no? ;P
